How do I split a PDF into individual pages?

Upload the PDF, keep Every Page selected, and choose Split PDF. The tool creates one PDF for each source page. You can inspect the page previews, download a specific page, or save all single-page PDFs in one ZIP file.

Can I split a PDF every 2, 3, or more pages?

Yes. Select Fixed-Size Batches and enter the number of pages for each output file. A 10-page document split every 2 pages produces 5 PDFs. If the page count is not evenly divisible, the final PDF contains the remaining pages.

How do custom PDF page groups work?

Select Custom Groups and enter one output group per line. A line can contain a page number, a range, or a mixture: 1, 4 puts pages 1 and 4 together, while 2-5 creates another PDF containing pages 2 through 5. Pages can be reordered, repeated, reused across groups, or omitted.

Can I extract only selected pages from a PDF?

Yes. Custom groups do not require every source page to be included. Enter only the pages you want to extract. The summary identifies omitted pages before processing, which helps prevent accidental exclusions.

Can I preview each split PDF before downloading it?

Each result has an embedded first-page preview, its source page numbers, output size, and a separate download button. Large result sets load previews progressively to keep the page responsive while preserving access to every output PDF.

How do I download all split PDF pages at once?

Choose Download All as ZIP after splitting. The archive contains every generated PDF with ordered, descriptive filenames. ZIP generation uses fflate in the browser, so no output files are sent to a server.

Are my PDF files private?

Yes. The source PDF is read and split locally with @cantoo/pdf-lib. Your document and generated files remain on your device. This local workflow is useful for statements, contracts, forms, scanned documents, and other private files.

Can this tool split a password-protected PDF?

An encrypted PDF must be unlocked before its pages can be copied. If you know the password, use the PDF Password Remover, then upload the unlocked copy here. You can protect a result again with the PDF Password Adder.
