How do I edit an ICS file online?

Import an .ics or .ical file, choose the event you want to change, and update its title, dates, times, location, description, recurrence, reminders, organizer, attendees, URL, or categories. Download the edited event as a new ICS file when you are finished.

Can I choose an event from a calendar file with multiple events?

Yes. When an imported calendar contains multiple events, the editor displays an event picker with each event’s title and date. Select one event to load it into the editing form. The downloaded file contains that edited event.

Which iCal event details can I edit?

The editor supports common VEVENT details, including the UID, title, start and end times, all-day setting, time zone, location, description, URL, categories, organizer, attendees, reminders, and standard daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly recurrence rules.

What happens to unsupported iCal features?

The editor warns you when an imported event contains calendar details that the form cannot represent. Those details are not included in the downloaded file. Examples include recurrence exceptions, complex recurrence rules, custom properties, unsupported components, and alarms that run after an event.

Are imported calendar files uploaded?

No. Parsing, editing, and file generation happen locally in your browser. Your calendar data is not uploaded to giga.tools, and you do not need an account.

Can I create a new ICS event instead?

Yes. Use the iCal Event File Creator to create an event from an empty form. You can also use the ICS File Viewer to inspect a calendar without changing it.

Does the edited file work with common calendar apps?

The downloaded file uses the standard iCalendar .ics format supported by Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, and many other calendar applications. Support for individual reminder actions and recurrence behavior can vary by app.
